No one saw this one coming!Posted by amwendwa in Victoria, Spartans, Soccer, Laval, CIS soccer |

I was reading a press release by the Canada West University Athletic Association. Issued November 16, 2009. They had a poll whereby viewers were asked " Which school will win the 2009 CIS men's soccer championship?"
The results showed Trinity western as the favored team to win, followed by Victoria and poor Laval had no votes.
How could you tell the voters were from Western Canada. Suprisingly enough we now know the one team with no votes ended up being the Champions.
Irony? I think so. I am not bashing polls, but sometimes they just can't predict the final outcome.
Below is a copy of the actual results from the poll.
a) Victoria 29%
b) McMaster 8%
c) Laval 0% (winner - 2009 CIS champs)
d) Cape Breton 8%
e) Trinity Western 55%
